BIOGRAPHY John Cameron Fogerty was born in Berkeley, California, on May 28, 1945. He was the son of parents Galen Robert and Lucille Fogerty. John's siblings are brothers, Jim, Dan, Bob, and Tom, who passed away in 1990 due to Aids contracted from a blood transfusion during surgery. Tom belonged to "Creedence Clearwater Revival" with John during the band's glory years. John Fogerty has been married twice to Martha Piaz (divorced) and to present wife Julie Lebiedzinski. Fogerty is the father of seven children, three with first wife Martha Piaz and four, Lyndsay, Shane, Tyler, and Kelsy, with present wife Julie. John Fogerty, is of course, best recognized as the driving force behind the American mega-band, "Creedence Clearwater Revival". "CCR", as the band has come to be known, was a major influence on the American music scene in the late 1960's and in the 1970's. Fogerty, himself, has continued as a solo artist since the demise of "CCR" and is considered one of the best American songwriters of his generation. He is a member of The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame (inducted in 1993 as a member of "CCR" ) and a member of the Songwriters Hall Of Fame (inducted in 2005 on his own songwriting merits). John Fogerty, is today, an icon of the American music community.
